Diet and exercise are the two most important elements for maintaining a healthy body. Most people simply cannot eat whatever they want and sit on the couch watching TV all day without suffering the consequences, both physical and emotional.

The second group of people are in the middle of the three groups, these are individuals who use Muscle And Fitness routines to get a "cut" body but aren't interested in building too much body mass. Just enough to get women (or men) to look at them twice. This group of men and women will rotate between cardio and light to medium weight lifting in order to reach their goal.

Finally, there are those who want nothing more than to build muscle mass and enter bodybuilding competitions, or simply have the most well maintained body possible. The Muscle And Fitness focus in this group is weight training, the more the better. Because the idea for this group is not weight loss (muscle weighs more than fat), there is very little cardio used in their routines.

Whether you are losing weight to fit into a new dress or gaining mass to show off your muscles, it is important that you maintain a healthy diet and include your doctor in your decisions about your body. It is a shame when someone suffers an injury that could have been prevented if they had simply taken the advice of a medical professional (and even a personal trainer) during their exercise and diet process.
